Charles Thomason

Principal, GXG


Charles Thomason is a Principal and member of the senior leadership team at GXG, where he reports directly to the CEO of the firm. As head of one of GXG’s 3 business units, Charles is responsible for the full end-to-end cycle of scoping new work, delivering that work, managing client relationships, and driving continuous improvement efforts to ensure scalability of the business model. While at GXG, Charles has managed 25+ Fortune 500 relationships spanning 12 industries and dozens of engagements resulting in over $400 Million of impact to his clients.

In addition to his core role running a business unit, Charles collaborates with the CEO on the company’s early-stage investment portfolio and with other business unit heads on new business development opportunities and go-to-market strategies. Charles helps drive best practices in strategic account management, sales process, new product development, product marketing & launch, and entrepreneurial growth.

Prior to joining GXG, Charles worked within the Global Business Services division of IBM Inc. He developed media and entertainment strategies for interactive fan experiences, served as a project manager for a Fortune 100 retail client, was part of a team that released one of the native Apple Watch applications, and worked as an analyst evaluating acquisition opportunities within the sports and entertainment practice. In his last engagement at IBM, Charles joined the corporate division working to bring new service offerings to market.

Charles graduated summa cum laude from The Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration focused in Finance and Marketing. While pursuing his degree at Georgia Tech, he was also a Track & Field Student Athlete. Currently, Charles and his wife live in Atlanta, Georgia with their daughter Kinsey and black lab Hazel.



Laura Cunningham

Chief of Staff & Senior Consultant, GXG


As Chief of Staff, Laura supports GXG’s Senior Leadership Team on strategy and execution of company initiatives. As Senior Consultant, Laura helps lead end-to-end execution of GXG’s business model from developing go-to-market strategies and lead generation to strategy execution of client engagements and relationship management.

Prior to GXG, worked for Stan Smith Events; a corporate events and hospitality company chaired by former World No. 1 tennis player Stan Smith. In this role, she assisted in the marketing, planning, and execution of events around the world with the goal of helping Fortune 500 executives develop and strengthen business relationships.

Laura was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, and moved to the U.S. to play tennis for Berry College in Rome, Georgia, where she received both a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and her M.B.A. When she’s not helping people get Unstuck, she is playing Spikeball, Pickleball, or traveling and eating with friends and family.



Steven Lemasters

Senior Consultant, GXG


Steven is responsible for the flawless execution of GXG’s business model and ensuring clients are not just receiving value but moving the needle in a substantial way. As #2 in his Business Unit, Steven’s role focuses on developing and delivering engagements spanning from enterprise-wide Sprint Boards to GXG’s Business Design program. His role includes managing all meeting and connection logistics, identifying and vetting GXG’s external operators, co-facilitating meetings and connection calls, and ultimately synthesizing discussions into key takeaways and actionable next steps.

Prior to GXG, Steven worked for Deloitte Consulting’s technology practice where he focused on large enterprise IT transformations and cloud migration programs. Based in DC, Steven worked with numerous civilian Federal agencies to develop the business cases and strategic roadmaps to modernizing aging government IT systems. He then moved into the retail space to help a Fortune 500 chain of department stores migrate from a mainframe system to a cloud-based enterprise architecture.

Steven studied Mechanical Engineering and Corporate Strategy at Vanderbilt University and currently resides in the Chamblee neighborhood of Atlanta, GA, where GXG is headquartered.



Peter McNally

Principal, GXG


With 40+ years of marketing, sales, and general management experience, Peter is passionate about working with organizations to accelerate growth by connecting three imperatives: developing talent, delighting customers and delivering results.

Peter spent the first 15 years of his career at PepsiCo, with the Frito-Lay, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut divisions. As the Vice President of Brand Marketing for Frito-Lay, Peter led the development and introduction of Tostitos Restaurant Style Tortilla Chips, executing one of the most successful new consumer packaged goods products of the 1990s. At Taco Bell, Peter led the National Introduction of Steak Fajitas, and the development of Taco Bell’s Value Strategy, which quadrupled system sales while redefining the QSR marketplace. Peter has held positions as the SVP & General Manager, Au Bon Pain Choices, CMO for American Security Group, SVP Strategic Planning for Assurant Group, Managing Director at Cyberstarts, and CEO of Sunaro, Inc.

For the past fifteen years, Peter has been consulting with organizations that include Ocean Spray Cranberries, T-Mobile USA, Coca-Cola, Walmart, Subway, Heineken USA, Yahoo!, MetLife, Equifax, Georgia Pacific, Walgreens and Allegis Group and DAOU Vineyards. He has also worked with a range of mid-market Private Equity firms conducting market studies for potential investments.

Peter earned a Bachelor's degree in Management from Babson College in 1980. He received the Babson Alumni Distinguished Service award in 1999. He is on the Board of the Atlanta Urban Fellowship For Christian Athletes and the John Jay Institute. Peter resides in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife Charlotte. When he is not thinking about Brand Strategy or Talent Development, you can find him in the kitchen working on a loaf of bread, Rack of Lamb, or a Chocolate Soufflé; or in the event he has been banned from the kitchen, on a trout stream fly-fishing.



Ted Sullivan

Chief Marketing Officer, GXG


Ted Sullivan is an accomplished sales leader across multiple industries with proven corporate and entrepreneurial experience.

Ted has demonstrated success in developing and launching innovative technologies and expanding distribution and markets globally across a range of product categories. He’s proficient in managing vital customer relationships by developing mutual goals through collaboration with measurable objectives. By employing strategic thinking and proactive problem solving he has been effective leading sales and marketing as well as key support functions with an emphasis on exceeding goals and customer satisfaction.

Prior to joining GXG Ted served as SVP of sales and business development for the consumer business unit at Equifax where he had responsibility for selling B2B2C identity protection solutions and breach remediation services targeting prospects across a dozen industry verticals. He established formal engagement and processes to leverage the enterprise sales forces to sell consumer solutions to all client bases. Additionally, he drove research and product development based on prospect feedback and identified operational improvements to deliver large deals and expand capacity. While in his role he finalized the largest contract for the business unit with a multi-national financial services provider, achieved 3-year growth goal closing a large provider of identity solutions and delivered the largest single year of breach services revenue since 2008.

Previously, Ted was VP Connected Living at Assurant Solutions where he led business development for the U.S. wireless business. Earlier he was responsible for leading global relationships with several strategic accounts while coaching representatives pursuing large opportunities around the world. His initial role involved developing and globally deploying best practices to include strategic account management, value proposition development and sales strategy execution.

Before joining Assurant Solutions, Ted was Executive Vice President and part owner of a consumer products company he helped start in 1997 where he was responsible for sales, marketing, managed care, and supply chain.

Ted is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, OH and holds a B.S. in Marketing. He is an active member in his community holding positions of leadership in social, humanitarian, and other volunteer organizations. He is an avid golfer and lives with his wife and 2 children in Johns Creek.
